Not just Mountain Bike Photography

Saturday, September 30th, 2006

Though it’s true, my heart lies in Mountain Bike photography, it’s not what I solely work on. This week Plumbheavy, a design shop local to me, went live with their new website, featuring my photography almost exclusively. You can check it out at www.plumbheavy.ca. I shot a variety of things for them, including their portfolio, and “stock-alike” images of them in their office. Plumbheavy are one of the premier design shops in Alberta, and I’m proud they chose me to represent them on their website.

More endurance photography

Thursday, September 14th, 2006

I just got back from the lovely Colorado, US, where the nice guys at Tough Guy Productions and Pro Velo Support hired me as official photographer for the Kona Sleepless in the Saddle 24hr mountain bike race. I’ve realised an event like this is as much a test of endurance for a professional photographer as it for the bike riders - we have the same problems with the weather, our gear failing, dealing with sleep deprivation. Here’s a quick sample from the weekend:

The nice chaps at Singletrack Magazine have picked up a bunch of my shots and words for their website, and you can see my shots used liberally throughout the official website.
