    Dan,

If you don’t mind me asking what light meter do you use? I haven’t used one in years because most of the stuff I’m doing (photojournalism) doesn’t allow me to really take the time to set up a shot with the meter since everything is always changing. Though lately I’ve been shooting more weddings where I can take the time to set photos up and have been thinking about getting one that would sync with my Canon gear (Canon 580 flashes and Vivitar 285HV’s)

Any advice on picking one out?

  2. Dan Says:

I use the Sekonic L-358. It’s a fantastic bit of kit - controls my PocketWizard remotes wirelessly and is easy to select different flash ratios. The only thing it won’t do is spot metering, but most cameras can do that themselves, so it’s not much of a concern.

Hi Dan - loved the pictures around your site. Doing the Calderdale mtb marathon for the first time this weekend - just hoping that they aren’t sending 200-odd bikes down that flight of stone steps you’ve photographed….

Keep up the good work, and spare a thought for us lot over here still battling through the wet, cold, sticky mud - and it’s only October!
